Silent but not Idle

Although I haven’t posted for a couple months, I have been busy sketching. I was able to visit three county seats: Sapulpa, Okmulgee and Wagoner. That’s three more counties to my list and three more closer to visiting all 77 county seats. Here a some of the sketches from those trips.

Found this little gem while driving around Sapulpa. Not far from Route 66, this is a place you should make plans to see on your next Route 66 road trip.
This is in Sapulpa as well. I believe this building was featured in the film Rumble Fish, a movie based on a novel by S. E Hinton.
Movie theatre in Okmulgee. It is still in operation and was showing Captain Marvel at the time. There is a BBQ joint across the street that looked like it was worth checking out.
Building in Wagoner, I thought it was the most ornate building on Main Street. Built in 1985 by Samuel S. Cobb. It is the first permanent brick building in the first incorporated town in Indian Territory and is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places.
